Richard Arderne has opted for a country side lifestyle and relocated from Cape Town to St Francis Bay in 2005 as franchisee and principal of Pam Golding Properties, sponsoring and organising various sporting events in the area.

His sporting activities involve squash (30 years league), surfski (Cape Point Challenge x 2, False Bay Crossing), canoe (Breede Marathon  x 10), tennis (social), mountaineering (Kilimanjaro, Cockscomb), surfing (longboard), windsurfing, mountainbiking and has done his first 50km trail walk (Addo) this year.
